A mix of open downs with some timbered areas, seasonal lakes cover 20% of the property and provide valuable pasture as waters recede. Mitchell grass pasture dominates the downs. Brunette is an important station for breeding and backgrounding both Wagyu and Mitchell cattle.

Harvest Road purchased New Norcia in 2022 and settled in 2023. New Norcia is a premium 8,032 hectare farm fronting the Moore River, 135kms north of Perth and 45 kms East of the Koojan Feeding Facility. This undulating and conservatively cleared property comprises of strong clay and loam soils which allows the production of improved pastures, silage and grain production for the Feeding Facility. New Norcia is strategically located on the Great Northern Highway and compliments the supply of cattle into the Feeding Facility.

The Koojan Downs aggregation features a mix of fertile pastures, arable land for silage production, and expansive grazing areas, ideal for intensive backgrounding and growing improved feed for the grain-feeding facility.

Located on the Koojan Downs aggregation., the Koojan Downs Feeding Facility’s footprint within the aggregation is 429 hectares.

Koojan Downs’ function is to provide a consistent supply of high-quality grain finished cattle for Harvest Road’s Harvey Beef export beef processing plant located south of Perth.  Koojan Downs Feeding Facility is Western Australia's newest greenfield feedlot, it is also the largest and most advanced feeding facility in Western Australia.  Stage one development was completed in December 2021 and is currently built for 20,000 SCU. Stage two has the potential to provide an additional 20,000 SCU, bringing the facility to 40,000 SCU. The feeding facility has the capability to run multiple feeding programs that will allow the Harvest Road Group to deliver WA’s finest beef products domestically and globally.

Brickhouse Station stretches across 225,000 hectares, Brickhouse Station is 20km from Carnarvon in the Gascoyne region. With 45km of Gascoyne River frontage and flood plains out to sandy flats and dunes along 60km of coastline, it’s rich with varied pastures, legumes and herbages enabling strong growth rates for backgrounding young cattle. Owned by Forrest, Burt & Co. in the late 1800s, the Forrest family purchased the property back in late 2015, investing in a major transformation, including new infrastructure, fencing and stock waters, to create an efficient backgrounding property.

Minilya Station is on the North-West Coastal Highway and spans 272,327 hectares bordering the Minilya and Lyndon Rivers and Barrabiddy Creek. Their natural flood zones support a variety of pasture and saltbush species. Since buying the station in early 2016, there has been a focus on upgrading fencing, yard infrastructure and stock waters to increase efficiency and improve sustainability. Minilya currently runs a small breeding herd and is predominantly utilised as a backgrounding property to support the northern breeding operations.

The 760,000-hectare Minderoo Aggregation encompasses Minderoo, Uaroo, Nanutarra, and Urala Stations, playing a vital role in Harvest Road’s vertically integrated beef supply chain. Established in 1878, Minderoo Station is home to a diverse range of operations, including breeding, backgrounding, a bull breeding unit, and fodder production under centre pivots. The bull breeding program focuses on producing cattle adapted to Western Australia’s extensive environments while delivering high-eating quality meat. Key breeds include Belmont Red, Angus, Bonsmara, and Senepol, with the herd primarily composed of Droughtmaster cross Red Angus.

The Ashburton River flows through Minderoo with 120km of double frontage, creating rich floodplains, mulga wash, sand plains, and spinifex grasslands that provide valuable nutrition for the cattle. Uaroo and Nanutarra Stations cover a combined 490,000 hectares, featuring fertile river country along the Ashburton and Henry Rivers, spinifex flats, and the rocky foothills of the Hamersley Ranges. These stations support backgrounding and finishing cattle to ensure year-round supply.

Urala Station, spanning 56,000 hectares, boasts 70km of pristine coastline, low-rainfall coastal plains with high-nutrient buffel grass, and diverse blue bush and salt bush floodplains along the Ashburton River, providing excellent grazing conditions for cattle.

The Balfour Downs station aggregation incorporates Wandanya station and is a 634,000-hectare pastoral cattle station in the far East Pilbara. Located 175km North-East of Newman, Balfour is nestled in the headwaters of two main rivers systems, the Oakover and Davis Rivers, which meet to form the De Grey River. Balfour Downs was purchased in June 2022 with a herd of 12,700 high Brahman content breeders. 

The joining of Minderoo composite bulls will produce high yielding cattle suitable for the Harvest Road branded beef product range.
